Bama beats LSU by 1 with a series of controversial calls. LSU and Bama win out. Notre Dame takes the four spot while LSU is 5. The committee doesn't want to see a rematch.

You forgot to add Bama loses in the SEC champ to UF, which causes LSU to leap frog them into the playoff, meaning they benefited by losing to Bama and not having to play the extra SEC game
