I don't know shite about AU baseball, but I sorta believe this guy. He mentions how the people that pushed him out were all AU grads who were on the coaching staff for 17 years. He wanted to fire these people from his staff and wasn't allowed to.

He is basically saying the good 'ole boy network threw him out (something that has been discussed about the football program for decades).

Knowing what I know about AU football and how some past coaching changes have been handled, I wouldn't be surprised if this guy is telling the truth.

Regardless it is an entertaining press conference. It's refreshing not to have to watch coachspeak for a change.

Are you mentally ill? This guy that you "sorta believe" couldn't remember if he attended a bullpen or not but he could remember buying a green tea on the same day.

His press conference included these things:

1. Talking about seeing two people together in a photograph from college.

2. A diatribe about how terrible green tea was.

3. How involved he was in every aspect of the program, however, he could not remember multiple things that happened under his watch.

4. Throwing Kevin Davis under a bus for wanting to keep his scholarship.

5. Having a guy dressed head to toe in Auburn gear, participating in practices, acting as a coach, yet, he was just some dude shadowing Tom Holiday.

6. Talk of affairs, basset hounds, labs, lightening, Joe Simpson, Toby Keith, $100 bets on the golf course and hunting camps.

7. Auburn has a lot more on this cat than he is letting out. Trust me. We may have some morons in the AD but Mcglynn and Didion are as good as they come. With the counsel that Auburn has, no way we fire this guy and refuse to pay his buyout unless we have iron-clad proof that he violated his contract.

8. I'm about 99.9% sure that you are an alter or just a general rabble-rouser. No way you can actually believe this guy.

Are you saying he's wrong and that there isn't a "clique" within the AD? It sounds pretty crazy (but sadly, believable) to me that they are stopping him from picking who he wants on his own staff. I also find it crazy that there's coaches on the baseball staff that have been there 17 years. IMO, Galloway should have been able to fire who he wanted without being bullied about it by two guys who went to college together and made "pictures on a sofa."

I agree the whole bullpen thing is suspect. His explanation for why the tapes were deleted doesn't really fly with me. Even if it is true, I am not sure it's grounds for firing the guy. Probably a secondary violation at best.

He claims the guy never "coached." Others would probably say otherwise. Sounds like a "he said she said" type of situation and I don't know who is telling the truth. IMO, Galloway would have to be pretty stupid to blatantly break NCAA rules by having an illegal coach running around campus in AU gear.

I don't know. The AD is ran by some doofuses.

Nah, not an alter. Just a guy who doesn't necessarily believe the official story out of Auburn on every issue.

I'm sure there is a clique. However, all of this is a moot point.

Auburn employs outside counsel and surely consults with them before firing someone with cause. This guy violated the terms of his contract. I'm sure that Auburn has more on him than what has been revealed.

Auburn has the brightest attorneys money can buy. We did our due diligence and Golloway won't get another check from Auburn and from the look of this press conference he fully realizes it

This place is getting as shitty as the rant. Of course Golloway is going to skew things in his favor because this will most likely end up in court.

JJ for all his faults isn't going to fire with cause without getting counsel and confirmation that it is justified. By the way your posts screams alter quite a bit. Its convenient to just brush it aside the way you have.

Sad to me that Ryan Jenkins and Trent Mummey would support this fraud.

Duvie isn't a coach, he is an administrator that works just for baseball. You already admitted that you don't know shite about Auburn Baseball, so you should probably listen to guys that care more about Auburn Baseball than football (AUPPL, AUSection111, etc.) on baseball matters. Golloway was a cancer and this presser did nothing but hurt his hireability.

No, i think his press conference and the law suit is strictly to hope for a settlement, so he can go to his next interviews for any BB job opening and say "see, Auburn had to settle because they couldn't prove their case for firing me".

He is strictly doing it to keep his reputation in tact legally. If he doesn't fight it, it looks like he agreed to the firing.

Did you not pay any attention to the press conference? All he did was make himself look like a fool. He constantly contradicted himself and point blank said he didn't have any idea what was happening in HIS program.
