It's crazy to even compare any defense to the 2011 unit but...

It's certianly not crazy. That 2011 defense played only 1 top 50 offense and more running teams than this team has. 2011 defense still is one of the best but this defense is good for today's type of offenses.

The stats of every offense we played were noticeably changed by their stats against us, just like we hurt our own strength of schedule by winning. LSU's D was crazy that year, too, slowing down many common opponents.

Which offense did Bama play that you think was good besides Arkansas? Teams like AU, Vandy, Tenn., etc. weren't good even if you looked at the non-Bama games. In comparison LSU played Oregon, WVU, and UGA. I still think Bama's defense was excellent that year no doubt but this years defense despite not having the same numbers is playing different styles of offensives and doing great.

No defense is absolutely perfect but not only has the coverage gotten better but you have them hawking turnovers as well!!! So thats a huge win in itself. Humph is def improving and if he gets a tad bit better this DB unit will be close to "shut down". I dont have to talk about our front 7. It rings out!

Me too! That last interception brought tears to my eyes, literally. And by literally, I mean that actual tears welled in my eyes.
