MTSU VS. ALABAMA (leading up to Ole Miss matchup)

I was just watching the full game on youtube, and it looked like MTSU had 3 or 4 chances in the first half where they failed to score in the redzone. Coker did not look impressive in the first half, almost threw 2 interceptions. It looked like the MTSU QB who was a redshirt freshman had MORE time to throw the ball than Chad Kelly has had against our cupcakes. This QB was shredding the secondary and I didn't see a sack once. I havn't watched the second half, I know Alabama blew them out. What happened? New QB? Tons of pressure on QB?
I don't want to be a homer, Bama is going to be hard as hell. But I do want to see Kelly against this secondary. It could be quite interesting.

Bama vs. Spread. It is what it is. Saban gonna Saban.

Bama practiced last week for Ole Miss, plus played flat and still won by 27. I will be pulling for the Black Bears, but think Bama dominates. Saban is money in revenge games, especially at home.

History blah blah blah. It's 2015, I don't give a frick about what he has done in the past.

So you don't think we haven't practiced all summer/fall/season thus far for Bama? We have and have ran about the same 15 plays on offense and have put up 76 and 73.
OM gonna walk into BDS and whip up on some Gumps.

That is a good point. We had only put on film unique stuff that Saban had to prepare for. The rest had been very vanilla. And I know Kelly is good because our backup QB's who would probably start at Bama struggled against the stout Fresno Defense in limited opportunities.

I'll be pullin for Alabama, but in reality I think Ole Miss wins this. They seem to have all the pieces this year. It will be a tight game though I think.

What do you mean it "looked like." They either did or didn't. In the first half MTSU had 1 chance in the RZ where they failed to score. They fumbled on 3rd down and could have attempted a FG if they had not. They got to the RZ one other time in the half and kicked a FG. They scored 3 total in the half and until a garbage time TD in the 4th quarter.

Agree, he didn't look great in the game. He only played in the first half and went 15-26, 214 yards, 1 TD/1 INT

MTSU runs a quintessential spread offense that gets the ball out short and quick to reduce the impact of any pressure. Their starting QB was 22-42, 174 yards, 0 TD / 1 INT. He had some success dinking and dunking but 50% passing and 174 yards on 42 attempts is definitely not "shredding the secondary." 4.1 yards / attempt is not good at all. 6.7 / completion isn't good either.
MSTU, like Ole Miss, scored 70 in their first game, and then scored 10 against Bama, the last 7 coming in garbage third string time.

I think Ole Miss has a great chance of winning. Game should be about a pick em in my mind. Kelly and Ole Miss receivers will be a huge test for Alabama's secondary. It's a matchup I'm worried about for sure.

It may be time for Alabama to be beaten soundly. The games we have lost the past few years were not exactly blow outs.
Ole Miss has enough star players to put 11 on the field that can play with anyone.
Alabama has a few quality players also. I think it will be a great game.

The Ole Miss melt when Bama wins by 2 touchdowns or more should be fun to watch.

Study your history, Alabama has a second game like this every year after opening against a name opponent. Glad you gained some false confidence watching.

I'm thinking this might be one of the best games of the year...

Can you link the game. I never got a chance to actually watch it. Thanks

No one cares about Ole Piss man. We kick your butts every year except 1 out of 15 years, just accept it and move on.
We gonna kick your arse.
We gonna kick your arse.

What the OP posted and what elposter posted are two very different things.
