It being probably our 2nd or 3rd game of the year will make it even tougher too. Losing to Dayton is nothing new though

It's scheduled for December 21st so it's probably our best hope of having people at the game since no students will be in Tuscaloosa over Christmas break. I like having a game or two at the BJCC.

I think this is a great move and have been screaming for this since we played OSU at the BJCC. I'm not opposed to playing an SEC game or two there either.

People will think what you just said sounds silly (playing an SEC game in a Birmingham), but I agree to an extent. Take a weeknight game--you know, the ones that tend to start at 8PM-- and have it in Birmingham. However, I say that NOW.. But I'm actually hoping that the turnout becomes large enough that we want to play every single game at Coleman.

Yeah, of course I want Coleman packed, but there are a few of those mid-season games that start so late that make it tough to attend.

I think playing a few games in Bham helps build the brand.

I like that idea. I also wouldn't be opposed to playing a game in Foster over Christmas break against our worst nonconference opponent. Those games only draw a couple thousand so why not put it in the tiny arena for a change of place and actually have a good atmosphere.

Agree with that too. I think TCU did something like that last year.

Some pretty tough road games. Dayton got us good back in '11 I think when we had Mitchel, Lacey, Releford, and Green. Overall, a good schedule to get the team ready. Just hope they can develop a rhythm through the stretch between Dayton and Oregon and find an identity.

Only 5 non conference games in Tuscaloosa ? Seems low.
And very weak.
Baby steps, I suppose.

The only contracts we had leftover from Grant were for the Orlando games and at USM. With Johnson coming in late, it was probably difficult to find games which is why we are playing on the road more than normal.
