My family and myself will be making the road trip for the LSU vs USC game.

Where is the visitor sections at Williams-Brice stadium?

Are there any good pregame activities or on campus sites we should attend? Any reasturant recommendations in Columbia?

Thanks.

15-17 in the lower deck.

507-509 in the upper decks. I've seen plenty in 501 and 502 and the very top of the south deck.

Looks like the LSU ticket board has a thread on this with better info than I

Where are you staying? I would recommend staying and hanging out in The Vista.

Went out to Columbia in 2006.

It wasn't the greatest road trip, but reading a few things over the last couple of years, seems some things have improved.

Yellow BBQ is just odd to me though. Never could get over that one.

Its a lot better than it was. New scoreboard plus a vastly improved surrounding area for tailgating. It's not fully there yet, but it's way better than what it was.

Yea. We had to tailgate maybe north? of the stadium amongst tin storage buildings or maybe they weren't storage buildings. But they were definitely tin buildings.

It was kind of odd. We had tried to find the Clemson fan who had visitor parking for tailgating, but couldn't locate that place.

I think then, I was most disappointed with the stadium though. The visitor section had bathrooms from the 70's and chain link fencing. It reminded me of War Memorial in that, it just seemed old and run down.

You can't see the back half of one of the endzones from the top of the visitor upper deck. I'd go for lower if you can swing it

yeah, there are still a lot around (our warehouse is one of them), but USC has been doing a lot to beautify the area.

It wasn't a terrible trip, but one I was kind of disappointed in.

Always seeing WBrice on tv gives this vision of an awesome stadium. Was a little underwhelmed.

I agree with going to the Vista. Avoid 5-points after dark.

A cool place to get lunch is Groucho's deli or Andy's deli. I like going to unique, local places for games. Not sure on places for dinner.

Pick one or the other, it's almost as fierce a rivalry as SC/Clem. We're an Andy's household.

Doc's BBQ out on Shop Rd has AMAZING hash and rice for lunch. If you're going to eat BBQ in SC, hash and rice had best be one of the damn sides. The Palmetto Pig also has really good BBQ and they're right downtown.

Henry's on Devine St has awesome burgers and sandwiches, and it's also our neighborhood bar. Right down the street is Craft and Draft, which has tons of craft beer for sale and a good draught selection if you want to enjoy a few in the store or grab a growler to go. Not in the mood for a burger? Devine Foods has solid greek food and they're located right next door to C&D. Za's just re-opened on Devine St but the food has gone to shite. If you want pizza, go to Pizza Man on the corner of Woodrow and Rosewood. Thinner, crispier crust and it's delicious. Looks a little seedy, but don't let that scare you away; it's in Shandon, which is a very nice neighborhood.

For sure. They're pretty similar with my personal preference being Groucho's.

Yeah, Andy used to work for Groucho's and then branched out on his own. That guy is awesome, he's the reason why I choose Andy's over Groucho's any day. Best service in town, if you ask me.

Don't feel bad, I live here and mustard BBQ isn't really my favorite.

The stadium area is very very different from when you came in 2006.

One of my favorite places in Columbia for lunch is Henry's. Variety of good bar food, not too far from campus on Devine. If you are looking to get lunch, I would check that out if you aren't feeling Grouchos or Andy's (both of which are great).

Also, the Southern Belly on Rosewood is good if you just want a BBQ sandwich and canned beer.
