Valentine-Okeke has been cleared to start in August, Cutrer will not join the team.
Valentine-Okeke was a 4* tackle, Cutrer a 4* JUCO safety.

Personally, Cutrer not qualifying doesn't bother me as he would have a tough time competing for PT anyway. Valentine-Okeke was a huge get for LSU and LSU needed the depth at tackle, so him making it in is big for LSU. It's still possible he gets flagged by the SEC office or something else happens, but it looks good for him.

Wow, I thought there was no shot he would get in. Good for him though.

I really love that LSU has the depth to redshirt Okeke, Weathersby, and Tuheama (spelling?). Unless you're a really rare talent like Tunsil and Robinson, throwing a true freshman or any young lineman into big games is almost always a shitshow. Vadal Alexander against Clemson in 2012 immediately comes to mind.

Wasn't that Hawkins in the Clemson game? I could have sworn Alexandar played numerous games in '12 with all the injuries.

That's just what the bama and auburn sympathizers told their subscribers when he went against what everyone said he was gonna do and went to LSU.

No it was Alexander. True freshmen got abused at fight tackle. Hawkins wasn't on the team for that game
