Hard to believe that they won't carry UGA/Bama.

I don't see how in the world they wouldn't, unless ESPN does one of their trump cards (used to be they had 2 a year, is that still the case?) and uses priority on it.

Has to be the case. The only other SEC matchup of interest is UT-Arky, which should be a cute game, but nothing near us and Bama.

So that would all but guarantee a night game for bama

CBS still can carry UGA/Bama, this announcement only covered the first three weekends (plus Georgia/Florida and the Friday Thanksgiving weekend game).
They won't announce the other weekends until they get closer (typically the monday 12 days prior to the game). As others have said, ESPN does get a couple trump card type of thing where they could pick up UGA/Bama in front of CBS which would move that game to night most likely.
The good news for us is that the CBS double-header on Nov. 14th means our game against Auburn will most likely not be a night game.

CBS can still carry the Bama game. They don't have to make their decision on any given game until the Sunday before (at the latest). They'll wait to make sure we can get through Vandy and USCe.

This does point toward Georgia/South Carolina being a night game in Athens since the CBS game that day is Auburn/LSU.

that's true. Although a handful of times in those early september games, ESPN has had some funky time slots that we've played in before, either 4:30 or 5:30. I hope it's a 7:30 affair though.

True. It is interesting, though, cause they usually only do that for the first 2 weeks. Maybe we actually get a night game
