College Baseball Week 11

We've hit week 11 of the college baseball season. The Aggies finally lost their first series of the year and it sets up for a 1 vs 2 matchup this weekend between number 1 LSU and number 2 Texas A&M.
A lot of Aggie fans question their pitching as they think their pitching won't be strong enough to bring them a CWS title. We will really see how good this pitching staff is as they take on the best hitting team they have seen all year in front of the most hostile college baseball crowd in the country. If the Aggies win, it would be very impressive especially if they slow down the LSU offense.
As for LSU, most fans are glad we have taken back over the top spot in the country. The LSU offense has been exceptionally good all season but even though their record doesn't show it, the pitching hasn't been all too great. This weekend will be a very good test for the LSU pitching staff as they take on one of the most explosive offenses in the country.
Vandy has had a lot of struggles lately losing to some not so great teams the last two weekends. I don't think Vandy fans should worry too much as they have the best talent in the country and I believe that they will be very dangerous in the postseason and will make a run.
Arkansas is starting to come around and they are starting to become a very dangerous team. I don't think this is a team that can make it to Omaha or even a super regional but I think they could make a run in the SEC tourney and could give some hosts teams trouble in regionals.
It will be a very interesting matchup this weekend with LSU and Texas A&M and I look forward to watching some great baseball in front of a great crowd!

Lange, Poche and Newman have been lights out.

Poche has been good but not lights out. Newman isn't a starter but I think Mainieri should consider using him as our third pitcher if Bain starts to get bad. Bain has been prett good though in my opinion. Newman will be a good guy to use in the SEC tourney

Jake Latz has been looking pretty impressive at bullpen practice. He has been slow played this year but I expect him to make some appearances later this year. He could be a spark in our bullpen

It should be a good one. I'll be happy if we can get out of there 2-1.

I've seen repeatedly that we A&M fans should not have been happy about getting the #1 spot (last couple weeks) seeing as it does not mean anything. So, I'd be surprised if most LSU fans even know what the rankings are.
Other than that, nice write-up...looking forward to this week's series.

Latz isn't pitching this year.

somewhat disappointed that Auburn hasn't gotten any more mention as a top 25 team. I think we're 26-16, but have a top 5 SOS and are #21 in the RPI. We've had a brutal SEC schedule to start the season and have some lower ranked SEC teams to play in the remaining games and could move up with that, I guess.

He has been feeling good as of late. It wouldn't surprise me if he saw some innings in tournament play

Latz isnt pitching this year per Maineiri, unless you know of something that has changed in the last week that hasnt been made public.

I wouldn't say he has been feeling good as of late if I didn't

I don't know if Vandy has the arms in the pitching staff to make it that far

They don't. And strike out too much at the plate...
