The SEC enjoyed a great stretch so far this century in being fairly dominant over everyone. This past year, all seven West teams were bowl eligible. The east will later be better than the west. But, as a whole, is the SEC just not that much better than everyone else anymore? Has the gap closed? Or the past couple of years been flukes?

Most other conferences are garbage

If anything the SEC has gotten better. FSU and OSU were two really good teams in shitty conferences. Look at the rest of the B10 and ACC. Having one dominant team does not make a conference great.

IMO, I don't think so. Last season seemed off from the norm because at the same time, a lot of teams were in reloading/rebuilding their teams. I think it goes without saying that the high quality players are coming out of the South and the SEC gets the majority of those players...as long as this happens, the SEC will remain a head above the rest.

It all washes out, well except for LSU's QB position

IMO yes which is good for College Football.

We're still the best overall but there's actually teams in other conferences that can compete with Top level SEC teams. FSU is built exactly like an SEC team. OSU with Meyer will continue to be a threat.

I think the SEC has dipped a bit too but not that much

Damnit T. You owe me a new drink.

How do you even get a 28 on the ASVAB? I feel like that takes more effort than getting a good score.

I think we have at least 3 teams in contention for the Playoff: Bama, Auburn and Georgia.
Maybe a couple more.
And I think the East catches up with the West this year. Mizzou, Tennessee, Georgia will be very good. Fla and USC could surprise.

Big 11 will have at least 2 in contention for the playoff - tOSU and MSU. Maybe Wisconsin.

Pac 12 will have 2 also - USC and Oregon. Maybe UCLA and ASU.

Big 10 will have the most - Oklahoma, Baylor, Kansas State, TCU. Maybe Texas.

I think we are holding are own against the other power conferences, and will continue to do so.

In terms of the whole pie, there is still a tremendous gap. I feel 6 or 7 SEC teams could have competed for conference champtionships in the other power conferences. Big 10 and Pac 12 are top-heavy, and the ACC is a joke other than FSU and Clemson.

Just about everyone has talent these days to be honest. Plus, anything can happen when a team gets a month to prep against one another

it's not like all the talent and expertise in the conference just vanished. Also the Pac 12 has a lot of very, very good coaches. The Big 10 has upgraded its top coaches.

parity is at an all-time high in collegiate athletics outside of women's basketball
