Is it just me or do I think this class could be better than next year?
Who would you pick if your team had to choose

Okafor and I wouldn't even think twice about it. His motor and will to win seems better than Towns'.

Okafor needs to work on defense and a mid-range jumper, but he is so polished down low, and can take the game over. Easy choice.

3. Towns
4. Mudiay

Okafor is already so skilled offensively. Towns is miles ahead defensively, but I think its easier to teach a player defense in the NBA rather than offense. Probably depends mostly on who wins the lottery. Dont think there is a wrong pick.

Definitely needs work on D. His mid-range game is actually not that bad; he has a nice bank shot from 8-10 feet, but his free throw shooting is atrocious.

Towns

Okafor doesn't project well on defense and traditional post up big men aren't as valuable in today's NBA.

just because there aren't any dominant post up players doesn't mean they aren't still the most valuable players. The last teamthat had dominant post up players were the 08-10 Lakers and we know what they accomplished

Whereas basically every other championship team of the past decade has featured a dominant iso scorer along with great ball movement and a strong defensive anchor.

I'm not saying it's impossible to win with a post player but he'd better be able to play some defense. Otherwise you're just going to get what the Thunder have right now with Kanter: stats, no defense and an L, to paraphrase Trevor Booker's words.

Okafor reminds me so much of Duncan.

Okafor. His offensive skill set on the block is better than most of the big men in the league right now. You can coach his defense up.
