Thank goodness. I was initially thinking this would be some bullshite about corndog stadium down in Red Stick, or Dildo Sweeneys humble adobe up in Clempson.

My grandfather was a park ranger there for almost a decade from 65 to 75. Man does he have some stories. He tried to transfer many times and the NPS continually said no. He eventually stumbled on an undiscovered miners camp that had been untouched since it was abandoned years before. He took some of the more valuable antique bottles he found and gave them to the head ranger's secretary as a gift and within a month she got him a transfer to Coulee Damn. His skin is still a weird shade of red/tan/pink some 40 years later and he's had several bits of skin removed for cancer.

It's quite the place.

I watched this documentary on PBS some time back. I remember it being pretty good.
