5. P Jamie Keehn, LSU: The latest Aussie to punt for Les Miles isn’t quite as outsized a personality as Brad Wing. He’s settled down after pressing early in his career. Now the former cattle-driving, javelin-throwing farm boy from the outback is one of the best punters in the SEC and the country, averaging 44.9 yards per attempt last season. Can he earn a look from an NFL team in his last collegiate year?

5. K Austin MacGinnis, Kentucky: The first-team All-SEC punter and kicker were both freshmen in 2014. MacGinnis has a cannon leg and can hit from well past 50 yards. The Wildcats placekicker could stand to hone his accuracy somewhat, but did make 21 of 27 field goal attempts, including 3-for-5 from beyond 50 yards, and drilled all 41 of his extra point attempts.

3. K Marshall Morgan, Georgia: After setting an SEC record for field goal percentage (min. 20 made) in 2013 (22-for-24), Morgan turned out another solid year as a junior, breaking the SEC record for consecutive field goals made (20). He’s moved past an arrest for boating under the influence in 2013 and has a chance to be best in the nation at the position in 2015.

2. P Drew Kaser, Texas A&M: He slipped just a bit during his junior season. Perhaps all the Heisman hype got to his head. In 2013, he was a Ray Guy Award finalist, averaging 47.4 yards per punt, breaking Shane Lechler’s school record. Perhaps he can turn the tide — pun intended — on the next gentleman in ’15 and one of them finally can claim “best punter in the nation” status.

1. P JK Scott, Alabama: A Ray Guy Award finalist as a true freshman, Scott has a booming leg and also is adept at placing punts, an unsung field position difference-maker all season for the Tide. He averaged 48.0 yards per punt while Bama allowed just 83 punt return yards in 14 games.

JK Scott, a true freshman, averaged close to 50 yards per punt last season. That's insane.

MacGinnis missed some chippies early but improved as the season went on. Looking forward to see how he develops.

are only 5 specialist returning? Keehn is a shankapotumus
Also another year of BDP probably spells bad news for our kickers and punters.

Scott was a huge weapon last year. He's a stud.

Hoping we have our stud P in Blake Johnson this year. Plus, Cole Hedlund to handle PK duties.

Daniel Carlson should at least be listed due to him being a punter, kicker and kickoff specialist.

He did everything.
