The guy is as competitive as they come and does things the right way IMO. He will fight you tooth and nail, but when Mizzou's Wes Clark went down with a nasty injury tonight, Martin was the first one on the court. He was the one to get Coach Kim Anderson's attention that it was serious. Lots of not just passion but also compassion in that man.

And after the game:

quote:

Tod Palmer ?@todpalmer 6m6 minutes ago

SC coach Frank Martin: “Heart goes out to Wes Clark. It’s moments like that, as a coach, makes you sick."

Anyways, great game tonight ya'll and it might not happen as fast as anyone wants, but Martin is a keeper. Just wanted to give my props to the man.

Noticed that too tonight while at the game. Guy is competitive as they come but he's very compassionate. Wish the kid a speedy recovery.

Yeah, I like him a lot.

He's going to get plenty of time to get it done here .... and I think he will.

Good game tonight. Hated to see the tail end of what happened when I first turned on the game. Hope Clark makes a speedy recovery.
