Figure the men will get Saturday, but those who follow the women's game can have a Friday thread in advance for a big weekend.
Race for the Championship
South Carolina 20-0 (8-0)
Tennessee 18-3 (9-0)
Mississippi State 22-2 (7-2)
Everyone else is 3 games back and has already lost to UT or USC.
Mississippi State plays Tennessee in Knoxville Sunday on SEC Network. This is an interesting game for a couple reasons. Obviously, if MSU wants to stay in the championship hunt, they will need to win at UT. Here's the thing: MSU has never beaten Tennessee n women's basketball. Seriously 0-36 all-time, and State has had some good teams in the past, but couldn't beat UT. One year they played three games, UT won all three by a combined seven points.
Georgia is at Kentucky in a battle of Top 15, 5-3 SEC teams. The winner will have a leg up to get a top four seed (and host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament).
Texas A&M has dropped two in a row. 0-8 Auburn comes to College Station, so the Aggies should get back in the W column, but they may have dropped to the 5 seed line.
The Gamecocks have a tricky road game at Ole Miss Sunday. Ole Miss is 14-7, 4-4, and a win could get the Rebels in the bubble conversation, as they no terrible losses (worse loss is against C-USA leader Middle Tennessee).
LSU seems to have righted the ship and is playing good basketball. They have a stretch of Missouri, Auburn and Alabama coming up that should be three Ws.
Vandy is facing a must win game at home against Florida. Gators are 10-11 overall, but Vanderbilt cannot afford to drop to 3-6 in the SEC with Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina remaining. The split with State is good for the resume, but a losing SEC record will be tough to overcome.
Arkansas, Missouri, Florida, Alabama and Auburn aren't going to make the NCAA Tournament. Arkansas' RPI is good, but at 12-8, 2-6, they are going to have to pull some major upsets down the stretch, as half of their remaining games are against Top 20 teams.

No offense but I don't care its Women's basketball. I'll probably only watch the NC if we get there.

Watching the State women play is so much more enjoyable than the men. Love watching the hustle the girls give. Going to be a huge weekend

You are an asshat in Garnet and Black clothing. Do you not understand that a natty of any kind, especially a burgeoning sport such as Women's bball, is huge for whatever University gets to claim it. And the press we're receiving bc of our women's program and Dawn Staley is huge. Go put on some orange and purple or either support this University fully.

Yeah I do. I just have a hard time watching Women's basketball. I don't think I'm alone in saying that.

I love the posters coming into a women's basketball thread to bash women's basketball.. Nobody really cares that you don't care about women's basketball, stop craving attention.
