When predicting who wins sec, national titles, etc...

Not enough emphasis is ever placed on schedules. For example, so many people thought auburn would win sec, national title this past season... I even remember Philip Marshall (auburn writer) writing an article in August saying "what if auburn is better than everybody on their schedule?". He believed the sos was tough but auburn was so good and could overcome the tough schedule. They ended the year at Georgia and at alabama... Ohio state would have lost those 2 games
Auburn was 8-5 just like lsu this past season but we all know who was the better team.
In 2015 I don't think Bama will win west because of road trips to Georgia, auburn, Mississippi state. Also, lsu will be world beaters this year.
Auburn goes 15-0 this year due to a relatively easy sec schedule. Arkansas will beat good teams but is not really a threat to win west

H e's talking about Bama would beat OSU with homefield advantage, which might be true.

Oh you mean the one that won the head to head by 5 touchdowns? Well no fricking shite.

Miss St and LSU will probably the two worst teams in the West next year which we already know isn't as good as it's cracked up to be. But, yes, road trips to UGA and AU will be interesting.

It depends on the prognosticators. If you take a look at some the SEC Network guys breaking down the 2015 season (during the middle of this past 2014 season), you'll see the primary input variable on their rankings is the schedule.
They go down the list of each member of the conference, take each game on the upcoming season's schedule and they predict head-to-head results based primarily on 2 factors: A) the schedule B) anticipated returns on the rosters. I think they put more weigh on schedule than returning players simply because there's more information available about the schedule sooner than the complete returning roster situations.
So I agree with you: much attention should be given to schedules. But I'm just pointing out that some groups of analysts are paying a lot of attention to it. The cross-division match-up predictions are best example I can recall.

We won't win the West, but 9 wins is very realistic for Arkansas this year.

Ohio State would not have lost to Alabama in Tuscaloosa. That's laughable.

You really gonna play that card in a schedule thread?
