Remember that.

Once you start to be happy about such wins it shows the level of expectations has fallen far, very far.

They fired their coach, and still won their bowl. Have hired a solid HC and are headed in the right direction. Lots to celebrate today for Florida fans.

Now, Nebraska fans. Not so much.

Scott Frost is with Oregon.

That's about all they've got.

Winning a bowl game with an interim head coach during a bad year is almost impossible. It shows these players still have pride and will play hard for any body. Coach Mac will be inheriting a bunch of hungry football players.

Honestly, UF has some great athletes on defense. Probably need to rethink the offensive scheme and the kinds of players you have on that side of the ball. Obviously, McElwain comes from more of a smashmouth kind of background so they will start to get those kinds of players.

I imagine UF will look like LSU pretty soon.

McElwain won't have a smashmouth offense at UF.

As a fan base, we are pretty confident we have the resources to get back to competing for the SEC and into the MNC picture in the next few years, so we can enjoy this win as something positive on which to end a bad year and something cool for the students that play for us. But I can certainly see how fans of other schools who might not be in the same situation couldn't understand.

Why not? My assumption was he was going to try and emulate his Bama offenses.

That really hasn't been his style anywhere else but Bama. He says he will do whatever fits the personnel best, and at UF that lends itself to a more wideopen offense.

A win is ALWAYS something to celebrate and this particular win is important for their program. They should celebrate however they want as long as they want.

Who is having this big celebration u speak of? I thought it was a pretty typical game for UF. At least recently. Thanks for your shitty opinion.
