Senior tight end Jake McGee has petitioned the NCAA seeking another year of eligibility after missing the 2014 season with a broken leg he sustained in the first half of UF’s opening game against Eastern Michigan.
“Yeah, he’s trying to do that,” interim UF coach D.J. Durkin said Thursday. “We’re trying to get him another year. I totally believe he deserves it and that should work out for him. But we don’t know the answer on that yet.”

I was hoping to see what he going to do this past year, but I hope this works out.

This is big.
Hope he is granted the extra year.
Good luck to Jake either way.

We could have certainly used him this year. Shame. Maybe he would have caught the pass in the end zone against LSU and maybe caught a few passes against USC....add Idaho game and its a 9 win season....just never know. I know having the threat of a good TE can open up your offense and create openings for other players.
UF is due for a few good breaks.

Not to mention that if deflected pick-6 doesn't happen, our chances of beating f$u increase from 79% to 95%

Amen...forgot about that. It totally changed the game around...we were at the 11 yd line I believe, first down and ready to score and the bottom fell out.
