I hope we get rid of tampa 2

I am not a fan of this defense. Not on any level really.
The reason it has been working the last few years is because our D-Ends have been such good pass rushers.
If you are able to rush 4 and get pressure the Tampa 2 looks great.
If your D line doesn't have gap control and you have to bring extra pressure this D sucks. To many soft spots in the zone.
IMO this is not a good offense against the spread. I beleive it was used primarily in the NFL to counter the West Coast offense.
We didn't run it ALL the time but we ran it ALOT. Hope it's gone

You DO realize that the DC calls a play every time don't you? So we're not in the Tampa 2 every time.
Maybe our new DC will use whatever he thinks will work based on the team we're playing and the situation of the game; if we're up, tied or something else.
