Florida JUCO offensive lineman Drew Sarvary will no longer be able to play football due to prolonged concussion symptoms that have caused team doctors to decide it is no longer safe for him to play. Sarvary shared the news on his Facebook account on Monday.

A junior at Florida, Sarvary played in Florida's first four games of the season. He signed with Florida out of Tyler Junior College in Texas, flipping late in the process to the Gators from Texas Tech.

smart man. Head injuries are very serious. Sometimes there comes a point where the risks greatly outweigh the rewards for those who aren't completely shortsighted. Good luck to him

Poor guy but glad to hear Florida doing the right thing and erring on the side of caution.

I'm glad team doctors did the right thing here and that Drew is taking this well and doing the best thing for his future.

You simply can't mess around with them because you get one too many or too many too soon and it's over.
