In 2009 there were zero total punts in the UGA-tech game.

There may not be many this year either. Tech's defense doesn't look very good and our OL has been steadily improving. Meanwhile, our defense has been inconsistent from quarter to quarter and game to game, and tech's offense is capable of exploiting any assignment breakdowns. I don't expect either team to look good defensively.

I just wanted to give you another chance to weigh in on one of my posts. Are you feeling better now?

We have the 15th ranked defense in the country and 7th ranked defense nationally

We get two or three stops and we beat them by at least 14.

Aside from this not making any sense the way it's written, our defense has been gifted with some awful opponents this year. Excluding our single FCS opponent, the offenses that we have faced average 75th in the nation based on YPG. When you face inept offense, your defensive numbers better look good, but D/ST is by far our weakest link.
GT may arguably be the best offense we've faced this season - only next to Auburn. The good news is that GT and AU run a similar scheme and both are supposed to have a good offense. We manhandled Auburn.

Was also nice to see the way the D remained disciplined in their assignments against Char So. Inferior talent of course, but it demonstrated good coaching.

Aside from CSU, it's the closest we've faced this year. I don't think anything can be made of our game with CSU. Yeah they run a triple option but if they can't execute it, we aren't really tested.

it may be the 2nd closest, but it's really not very similar IMO.
AU primarily goes out of the shogtun and runs a ton of zone read. They also have 2 good WRs (although only 1 for our game) and go downfield a good bit. Tech has incorporated some more passing this year, but they are like 95% a triple option team.

Pruitt's done a good job, but tech's offense is considerably different from Auburn. Things happen a lot faster after the snap. Our linebackers may need to have their best game.
I'm not that concerned about tech's passing unless somebody gets wide open. Despite all the talk of Justin Thomas being a good passer, he looks mediocre to me. But he does run the option plays very well.
