Take a lower level head coaching job? That way he can learn how to be a head coach without too much pressure. I think one of the reasons that he has failed is because his first head coaching job was with the Raiders (and Vince Lombardi couldn't win with the Raiders now) then Tenn and then USC.

Thoughts?

Would probably be a good idea considering his track record. But he should stay put for a few more years and learn all that he can before he takes on that kind of responsibility.

And I imagine that the rest of the SEC would gladly cover any monetary shortcomings he may incur.

His offense has been complete garbage in road games. I doubt he has rehabilitated his coaching image enough to get another major job

Can't wait for Auburn to experience his "garbage" offense...you should come to Ttown and witness it in person.

With the exception of LSU, every SEC offense Auburn has played has scored a lot of points against our defense. Even if Alabama does the same, it still doesn't mean anybody should be scared of Lane Kiffin

I think he should stay at least one more year. He can improve his reputation and learn about how to run a program.

There's a lot of space between "garbage" and being "scared" of him. Why do your posts go from one extreme to the other?

Gus' offense wasn't held below 20 points for the first time until his 16th game against an SEC opponent. Kiffin's offense has been held to 17 points or less during regulation in 3 of his first 7 SEC games

So, following your logic, the IB will determine who the better OC is..Gus or Lane....whichever team wins (scores the most point ), then that OC is the best....gotcha.

Well Saban's assistants don't have a very good track record as head coaches so being under saban could hurt his reputation. Like others have said his offense has looked pretty bad on the road.

Wasn't Jimbo Fisher an asst?...And what about his last one...the Colorado St. coach who's being talked about for the Fla job?

Yes, but he also coached under Les Miles and Bobby Bowden after Saban.

That is my point Lane needs to coach at the non P5 level for a few years and learn how to manage a team when the pressure isn't extremely high.
