They're hosting South Alabama in the other side of their home-and-home

Why would we need to counter?

Agreed - your 2 Sun Belt / 1 CUSA / 1 1AA schedule recipe has worked well so far.

#1 and have 3 SEC teams left on our schedule. So I agree in that we shouldn't fix what isn't broken.

I predict if you lose that people will realize that your non-conference schedule is in the same league as Baylors and it will not do you any favors.
Seriously, just schedule 1 good OOC game.
BCS Opponents since 2005 for MSU
2005 - none
2006 - West Virginia
2007 - @ West Virginia
2008 - @ Georgia Tech
2009 - none
2010 - none
2011 - none
2012 - none
2013 - Oklahoma State (Houston)
2014 - none
I mean, does that not bore the crap out of you guys?

Until you get passed by the committee for having a downy soft schedule

We have already played three top ten matchups. We have 2 left. Seems to me like we have 5 top ten games. Find another team outside of our conference with a better looking resume.

State has scheduled Kansas State, Arizona & NC State for future OOC

....summer? You there? Or are you in the other two threads you started on the subject?

As long as the SEC West is this competitive there is no reason to schedule tougher OOC's. Why beat your players up more when they already play a more brutal schedule, by far, than any other division in CFB?

OOC schedule is irrelevant if you play in the SEC west. It's givin you folks something meaningless to talk about though. Carry on.
