I'm surprised there are only the three stadiums in the conference that run exactly North and South.
Some are close: MSU and Vandy, but most of the others are roughly at a northwest - southeast or northeast-southwest orientation. Some others go nearly East - West, with Georgia's being the most East West.

The More You Know.

I thought that Bama's was east to west.

Never mind, I am wrong.

Florida Field actually runs South-North, because Georgia sucks of course.

WRs and punt and kickoff returners.

There's a reason football fields are supposed to run North - South.
Take note of the sunlight in the players' eyes tomorrow afternoon.

yet the sun doesn't travel a true east to west path in north America, especially in the fall with the earth's rotation and all.

so basically if your reasoning is correct than a northwest to southeast orientation is the correct one. or is it northeast to southwest?

Probably the worst is definitely East West, then Northeast - Southwest. Unless you play the 11 AM SEC Network game.
