PG Justin Coleman of Bama
Possibly the quickest player I've seen in years.. has great shooting range and is extremely tough for his size (5'10 160) best PG out of Bama since Ronald Steele... Top 50 national player lead team to back to back state Champs and national ranking.
Can't wait to see him versus Tyler Ullis...
Who is your top freshman?

Oh wait, Cal had some returning to play.
To answer your question…Ulis, Townes, and Lyles going to run the shite.
LSU has a stud that is a one and done.

Sorry didn't get what was so funny but OK lol.... I know Ulis won't get as much run this year... Coleman is possibly better..

Yes, Ulis will get a bunch of run.
I was making light of Cal not having a bunch of freshman this year.
LSU frosh is probably the best in the nation.

That would be next year.
Karl Towns is the best freshman in the SEC this year.

TJ Lang is probably the best freshman, but I'm not expecting too much from him early. Pearl had to get a bunch of transfers and jucos because the roster was so bad.
We won't have a 180 in year, but we should be better and we sold out of season tickets for the first time that I can remember.

Arkansas PG Anton Beard, had 18 pts in Red/White game with steady defense. He will be early off the bench due to upper classmen in front of him at the momment. I like this kids game!

The world would be a much better place if people didn't spend so much time looking for reasons to be buttholes... I provided a link does it matter whether it was in the op?

Riley will be a goodie... he's playing behind too many to get top freshman honors imo... he can flat out shoot it tho and he's a really solid rebounder... I wonder if he'll get the time to get his shot off a lot at this level he has a really slow release.

Just from watching them on the quad, his release didn't seem any slower than Hale who never has a problem getting his shot off
As for Coleman, I hope his speed negates bigger guards and their ability to possibly outmuscle him.

There was zero D being played out there... Norris will have benefit of the doubt early on... when they start playing tighter we'll see if it's an issue... if at all.
Justin will blow by bigger guards... but it's not like there are a bunch of muscle bound guys running point.

For LSU, Elbert Robinson III, aka, ER3, is a 7'1" 270# center from the Dallas area who was nationally recruited and stands a good chance at playing starters minutes for the Tigers, alongside Mickey and Martin.
Aaron Epps, 6'9" 210# forward, will be in the rotation. He has Mickey's hops fwiw.
Jalyn Patterson, a point guard from Georgia is likely going to get 5-10 minutes a game as well.
FYI, the Tigers two most prolific newcomers should be Hornsby and Gray, both of whom were backcourt starters for other DI schools a couple of years ago.

Gray will be far and away our best new player.
Robinson will need time, as will Epps and Patterson.
Hornsby will be the steady guy who gets a quiet 10-12 points a game IMO.
But Gray will be that new guy everyone in the SEC will be asking where he came from. Dude had multiple 50 and 60 point games last year in JUCO.

Actually that's possible for Gray but Hornsby is better than you think, judging from your post.
Like most freshmen, these 3 have to adapt to the college game but all three will play significant minutes this season before it's over. ER3 has dropped over 30 lbs since the end of his Sr. season and is working his arse off to get ready. Epps is second only to Mickey in athleticism already and reminds me of Dewayne Scales the first time I saw him back in '79. Patterson will see time at both guard spots due to his ability to shoot 3's.
