I don't think we're spoiled for expecting to go to a bowl every year -- but that's just me.

Unfortunately we are way too familiar with coaching changes. What are we on now - 4 coaches in 5 years? It's hard to keep up with it all.

And I agree about Jones' recruiting and think he is going to very good things for us if our fans can actually have some patience and refrain from counting the time wasted by the guys before him against him (and sadly some do). If you compared our D to when Dooley left to now it's jaw dropping. When we get more of the puzzle pieces together I think we're going to be very happy with the results on the field.

I also think we found our QB last night. Josh Dobbs put on one heckuva show despite being sent in after we were already in a hole and not having taken a snap all year. He helped out the oline a lot with his ability to run, pass, or rollout and pass. We only had two sacks (a damn feat for this line)!

As far as Muschamp's recruiting... it's just so very strange to me for UF not to have a wicked good offense. You gotta have the big uglies but you've also got have some skills guys and it's the skills players that have been surprising to me. I don't think Florida will have an issue picking those guys up though given how talent rich your state is. But even with the heavy emphasis on D recruiting, I can't fathom how he never managed to generate an offense.

That said, I've always felt though that Urban left a far bigger mess in the locker room than has ever been acknowledged. It just seems there was a very bad culture there that likely worked against Muschamp and once a bad culture develops it can take a long time to get rid of it.

Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a damn minute here.

SEC fans have become awfully spoiled at every school and its a reflection of society imo

Back before the season started there were threads everywere about what record saves Coach Booms job. And if I remember correctly which I do. Almost every gator fan said this "Just make a bowl game and beat Georgia" other people said "make a bowl game beat FSU" other people said "just win all the games we should and just one upset, with an improved offense I will be happy".

Reel, you were the only person that said "SEC Championship game or bust for me. He has been at UF for 4 years and if he doesnt make it to Atlanta this year I will personally hold the door for him on his way out"

You were the only one hollering for a championship, not one other Gator fan on here seriously said Atlanta or bust.

Yet we are the ones who are entitled.

It is very evident that a lot of you want a coaching change....but if Muschamp rights this ship then you may not get your wish. My advice is to follow another team and jump on their bandwagon.

My wife would probably agree with me saying I get way to worked up about UF football. And I know I can post too much negative crap sometimes (Which if that bothered anyone I apologize I'll try to cut it back). But just because I am not happy with the state of the program or the direction it seems it is headed doesn't mean I should follow another team and jump on their bandwagon. I understand like you said before "you are a card carrying member of the Will Muschamp fan club #001" and I agree it seems like Muschamp is trying to do things the right way which is how it should be, but that is the same problem UGA fans have with Richt. They have high standards for their players off the field but for some reason they can't get it done on the field. Crap I live in Clemson and the local sports radio station follows UGA and Clemson athletics and the GA fans wanted Richt fired after going to the SEC Championship game, they wanted Chad Morris fired about 4 times this year. Just like before the season started all I wanted was a team that made a bowl game and showed improvement (9 wins and a bowl game to save his job). But 4 years with with no improvement on offense and no development at our skill positions doesn't sit well with me. We keep missing on big time offensive talent in recruiting and we keep throwing coordinators at the problem like a bad mechanic throwing parts at a car. Numbers don't lie. After last year I still thought Muschamp had a chance and I hoped we turned it around but in my opinion its time to go in a new direction.

When I was back at home, I visited my neighbors early one Sunday morning. She asked me: "Did you hear someone screaming last night?"

I would have said me -- but it was actually my mom. You can't take it too seriously.

By SEC spoiled fans...I meant EVERY team...not this board...hell...after the cluster of injury struck 2013 year no one was overly optimistic, except me of course Part of it was to make doom and gloomers cheer up and think positive and part of it was expecting Driskel to finally start delivering...well....maybe pizzas huh? J/K.
So...please reread my thoughts and I am referring to SEC fans in general whenever they lose a game and that's why the reference to Saban and Miles etc etc. and it was addressed to our visitor from UT and the patience UT fans must have to let Jones turn it around.

I am hoping Treon catches lightning in a bottle somehow.

I don't think we're spoiled, like I said. I think most of our stuff was, at the very least, reasonable.

This may be true for some other programs, but we have had some very, very lucid, cogent and down to earth expectations.

I think Olemc mentioned it before: Most of the board were comfortable with 8 wins when I was comfortable with 7 (our schedule was formidable even when it's a down year) -- but this has been an abortion of two last years.

In regard to the rest of the SEC: Maybe the fans are a bit spoiled, that could be true.

He will when Muschamp is gone. I'm sure he'll play very well against Georgia, but I'd hate for him to play out of his mind so we end up keeping the coaching staff and have a Texas A&M type of situation where we can't win without an amazing quarterback.

Oh, and Go Gators.

Depends on: The hire.

Why we're losing.

How we're losing.

If it's an atmospheric problem or a coaching problem.

I think you'd still blame Meyer for what's going on right now -- but I don't think you could say with a straight face that every coach would end up in the same situation as Muschamp.

If: We hire a real head coach and he loses his first few games, I will probably (with great reason to) blame Muschamp.

If: We lose reasonably (you know, not getting blown out at home to a Missouri team that couldn't score a single point against Georgia) to a decent team, I won't blame anyone.

If: We lose due to a lack of execution or a bad bounce at the end of the game that can be wholly attributed to player inability, then I will give the coach a pass.

There are tons of factors when assigning blame, and I think it's quite comical that you think my criticism is superficial and lacks depth. I can assure you, when I blame someone I am looking at a multitude of different reasons.

Why Muschamp is the problem:

Ran the wrong offense with the wrong players his first three years.

Has made numerous mistakes regarding coaching -- his timeout errors have been of a Freeze caliber.

The atmosphere around Gainesville is worse than any year Meyer was here, in fact, it's probably the worst in a long time. Players don't give a frick about the program, and if you can't see that I wouldn't be surprised.

He attracts a lot of bad attention regarding his shite talking -- and his players have emulated it. Beating Tennessee by 1 with the luck of Zeus when Tennessee is playing miserably bad is nothing to hang your hat on at the end of a game.

Just like jawing at an FCS team who is beating you at home isn't a good thing to do.

Muschamp has had numerous critical failures in every facet of the game. Special teams, defense, offense -- everything has regressed under his watch and he has run out of excuses. He has none. It's his fourth year and we still look woefully unprepared, we still have a chip on our shoulder that we didn't earn and worst of all: We're losing games.

Without an enormous amount of luck we would be 1 - 5 right now with our sole victory coming from E. Michigan.

Reel, I know you're a "let's stay positive" type of guy -- but we need to move on regarding the head coach, and the next head coach is going to have a lot of slack from me because we're so unbelievably bad right now.

No one is afraid to play us.
