I don't really see a problem with older fans who hate LSU a lot. MSU is the arch rival, LSU is the regional rival. Officially, we've beaten LSU(40) almost as many times as State has beaten us(43). So the older fans know it as a rivalry despite our mediocre play the last 40 years. If we win tomorrow it will be 4 of the last 7 over those guys. It is competitive again.

We're 11-17 against LSU in my lifetime.
We're 15-13 against State in my lifetime.
Both rivalries have been pretty competitive as long as I can remember.
Thus, I hate both those bastards.

Well, since you used the timeframe of your lifetime in your argument, in my lifetime MSU leads Ole Miss 14-13, and LSU leads Ole Miss 17-10.
Maybe they don't "own" you, but one rivalry is obviously closer than the other. Didn't mean to upset anyone.

Your lifetime is completely irrelevant to his post. What he stated was fact and how he views the two rivalries.
And regardless, it doesn't negate the fact that the reason you posted in this thread was because you got pissy about one fan's opinion on who is the main rival in his eyes was, instead of your team.
