Tigers true freshman wide receiver Stanton Truitt had season-ending shoulder surgery on Friday.
Truitt, a 5-foot-9 175 pound Atlanta native, had two catches for 13 yards while appearing in three games.
"That's a guy that was coming on," Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. "Played well. Hurt his shoulder. We just wanted to do the right thing and get that thing fixed for the future."

Saw a retweet of a cryptic tweet from him a few days ago. Didn't quite get it but understood from it he was facing some type of hardship.

Truitt twitter is an interesting read. Hope he comes back better than ever next year
