Kimbrow, Head Leave Vandy Football Program
Yes, Paris Head and Brian Kimbrow are no longer with the team. Kimbrow's departure was almost expected considering we've heard nothing since his indefinite suspension. Head totally shocks me. Yes, I know he hasn't been playing much (at all?), but he was such a good player last year that I just assumed it was due to injury. However, the article quotes Mason as saying the reason is "difference in philosophy".
It is also stated that there are no known transfer plans for Head. He seems to be content to just get his Vanderbilt degree and not give it a shot to transfer to attempt to further his football dreams. Kimbrow's transfer plans were not discussed, but Mason left it open saying that Brian had asked them advice on some things since being suspended.
I'll let you all speculate about how much this staff has already lost control (can we blame this on Richt?) and how soon they all should be tarred and feathered. I'm just gonna try to find my happy place.

Bloody Hell. Looks like Mason comes more from the Stallings school of coaching than the Corbin...

In fairness, these are Franklin's players. One theory I've heard is that Franklin was good at connecting with kids whose personalities were like his own: driven by personal success and willing to use those around them. I don't know any of the athletes personally, but given the social media outbursts of some, it's possible. There's also a very unsubstantiated rumor of Head having concussion issues. Don't buy that at all but thought I'd share.

Coming into this year, I really thought Head would be our best DB...

Same. It was really confusing to me that he wasn't playing more. I knew he was dinged to start the season, so I assumed it was just an ongoing thing keeping him sidelined.

Same. A tiny part of me wants to believe that Mason is like the Gene Hackman character in Hoosiers where it's my way or the highway and he's just breaking them down so he can build them back up. But I'm just not seeing it. And where's our Jimmy Chitwood?
