The toxicology report for Rob Bironas came back, and the former Titans kicker had a blood alcohol level of .218—the legal limit is .08—at the time of his fatal car crash, according to the Tennessean.

How... How do you even function at that level?

I mean how do you even make it out to your car (without your wife noticing, too).

His wife initially said he wasn't intoxicated but had "a beer" before she last saw him. 30 minutes later he was gone according to her. So she must not be too observant

Good job stealing hg's joke. It wasn't funny when he posted it in the MSB thread either

Funny, whenever there is a debate about the legal limit for BAC here, there are plenty of alco....drinkers who say that 0.08 is simply a too-low limit designed to get money for the police depts. So if they are right, 0.2 isn't really that high.

According to some basic intoxication info, the .200 level is about when a person blacks out and .300 is when a person needs medical attention

how do you come to that conclusion? 0.2+ is significantly different from 0.08

Blackout doesn't mean you lose consciousness, it means you cannot recall events in a given time period. I assume everyone here knows people who successfully drove home and don't remember doing so in the morning.

It all depends on the person and their tolerance.

Yup. And I hate myself for it. I still sit up at night for those few times I drove a little too inebriated. Honestly, I hope it never stops. I like the reminders . I will never do it again.
