Just a few minutes ago at his press conference.

Aaron Suttles ?@AaronSuttles · 3s
Saban: I've been begging the offensive coordinators to open it up around here ever since I've been here.

Saban: We have a lot to improve on as a team. We're not anywhere near the team we're capable of being especially from consistency standpoint

I hope we see what he thinks they're capable of.

Aaron Suttles ?@AaronSuttles · 12s
Saban: "My philosophy hasn't changed on there." Emphasizes he likes to open the offense up.

"In my opinion, we have not arrived as an offense. And he (Kiffin) would be the first to tell you that."

The comment I liked the best was how Cam has played better every game, from WVA to Fla. Really seemed enthusiastic about him.

I've been telling people this since the WVU game. If a team wants to stack the box, we will get Coop and Co. the ball. If they wanna play the pass, TJ, KD And Derrick will make you pay. This collection of talent combined with Lane's mind can set records.

I like Kiffins Offensive philosophy and believe Saban has liked it for some time.

Thank God Saban gives few fuks what fans and media think when he hires a coordinator.

Once Sims gets everything down pat so each weapon can be utilized as needed, with confidence and quality execution, this offense will be hard to stop.

Our only weakness is linebacker coverage. Someone needs to fill that role.

The DBs are progressing. Our front line is as good as it's been the last few years when you factor in strength and quickness along with depth.

The West looks brutal this year. If we can navigate through without a loss I just can't see another big5 confrere team that can match us.

Not even FL.St. or OK. I'm not buying all the Oregon hype. Stop Mariotta and you stop them too.

This looks like a fun year to watch our team progress. I'm luvin it.

Nope, and we never will be under Sims.

Reading between the lines it appears Saban likes and respects Kiffin......from that observation i think we can draw the conclusion that the only way that Kiffin would earn Saban's respect is through hard work and knowledge of the game.

Saban seemed almost excited by this offense, if he ever is truly excited by anything. .....he knows something we don't. That can only bode well for us moving forward, and should make our remaining opponents very nervous

With their O-line, he might get killed.

Vol fans raved about him, he made Crompton look half-way decent that year.

That may have solidified it, but seems I read somewhere he tried to hire Kiffin before he ever made it to UT.

In regards to the running game I'd like to see a 3 pronged attack if we can hold on to the football. Start out with Drake, bring in Yeldon to tire out the D, and when they are gassed hit them with the load that is Henry. Speed, elusive, punish
