Having a week off the second week of the season sucks...especially after the second half of the Clemson game. I don't know about the players and staff but personally I am ready to tear the chickens a new arse hole....GO DAWGS!!!

I generally don't like early bye weeks, but kind of do like this one. We opened with a decent opponent, so there's plenty of useful self-evaluation to be done. Coaches have extra time to watch USCe game film from their first two games. Receivers get a bit more healthy and hopefully Chris Mayes will be ready to go in two weeks.

I just wish there was a better slate of games this week. Awful games across the country other than MSU/Oregon.
I guess we have the Falcons and Saints but I want some good college action.

USC vs Stanford and VT vs Ohio State could be interesting.

I think I look at it differently. The two receivers aren't going to be back for USC. I just think the bye takes away some momentum and just leaves us a couple more weeks to read headlines. After the way we finished against Clemson, I'd prefer to jump right back in this weekend against South Carolina.

Most unappealing slate of games in one weekend that I remember seeing in a long time. Although, that's usually when the bizarre shocking upsets seem to pop up out of nowhere sometimes.....
Dove Season starts at noon on Saturday though, so this is actually a perfect timing for a Bye Week, imo........

I love bye weeks. I get to watch all games and not stress. Frankly I'm psyched for Saturday and I think it'll have some good games. Oregon vs MSU, USC vs Stanford, and Ohio State vs VT was mentioned but pretty sure there's Michigan vs Notre Dame too.
Damn fine slate except for SEC action. As Jeff said the boring weeks are usually where you see chaos.

Fans will be reading the headlines, but I bet the coaches will use this time to bring the football team back down to earth. With a lot of inexperienced players, I'll trade momentum for some extra post-game teaching. I want those kids to go into Columbia ready for a war.
Also, I thought there's a chance that JSW will play? I hope so anyway.

Richt said neither him or Malcolm are ready at this point. I wouldn't count on them being available for South Carolina.
