Granted, Temple looked better than usual, but Vandy took a huge step backward last night. QB play was just terrible. The defense giving up 37 is inexcusable too.

I was expecting so much more.

I remember when Sherman lost his first game against Arky State. It happens. Going to be hard for them to have a massive turnaround like the last few years, but who knows.

Why would you expect more when they lost what they did on offense, lost the coach that got them there (and took damn near all their recruits with him), and they only returned something like 11 starters?

This is what happens when you don't have Alabama talent. You don't just go from the bottom of the East to midway then retool when everybody and their mother leaves.

We may have found our 0-8 in conference team.

they lost a ton. They don't reload like a power SEC team.

I'm interested to watch Penn State. Maybe the loss of the coach maybe the biggest loss of all.

I saw multiple people jumping off the bandwagon when I was driving to work this morning.

Pulling your starting QB before the end of the first was a bad move, then pulling your second string for your third. Mason looked like he had no clue what he was doing out there last night...no clue. Very disappointing

Franklin put together fantastic recruiting classes for Vandy. I think in 1 class they outrecruited UT's class. Their 2014 class sucked because Franklin took the recruits with him, but 2014 class are true freshmen anyways.

I thought Vandy would destroy 2-10 Temple team. If Vandy is not talented, what can you say about 120th ranked Temple's recruting classes over the last few years?

I really like Mason, but man... if one game is any indication , the guy is in way over his head.

I thought Vandy messed up when they hired Mason over Chad Morris. At a school like Vandy, it's just way too difficult to recruit the defensive players need to field a team that can win games based on their defense. It's a lot easier to find offensive players good enough to implement a system like Morris' IMO.

Good job Mason, bring them back down to Vandy standards so you can rebuild.
