Looking for a cool place to stay down there for the Arky game. I would like to do the whitewater deal while we are there. Anyone with any first hand experience with either?

I've stayed at the Marriott in downtown Columbus. Nice place, close to downtown bars, and has a restaurant inside (Houlihans, I think.)

La Mexicana on victory drive is the best mexican food though
Other than that there is no reason to stop on Victory Drive for anything Anyone know anything about that new hotel right on the river in Phenix City? Seems weird they are putting up a brand new hotel next to government housing
