Saw some stuff on twitter but didn't recognize the name. Saulsberry? Was he expected to be a rotational guy? Tough spot to take an injury at this point with what look like depth issues on the OL/DL.

Saulsberry was injured last season and just came back from that - he was expected to play DT. We don't know how bad his injury was but it didn't look good. Truth is the interior of our DL is going to be an issue with or without him but Saulsberry was/is a pretty good DT and the loss will hurt a already painfully thin interior.

He showed a lot of promise last season against Florida and Oregon, but he got hurt. Reports were he wasn't close to 100% before the injury last night and had slid down the depth chart. He was probably going to be the 5th DT in the game.
His loss hurts depth more than anything. He was our biggest body in an undersized DT group.

Lol, Saulsberry is the best dt we've had in the the past 3 years when healthy. He was way better than anyone on the field last year

Right. Usually the best players are backups. Makes total sense.

Rocky Top Insider ?@rockytopinsider 19m Trevarris Saulsberry's injury isn't serious, Jones said. Could be a few days or a week, but Jones said it's not a season-ending deal.

Good news. We need all the depth we can get at DT this year

Yay! I know Saulsberry wasn't quite at 100 percent back from last year's injuries but we need him in that rotation. If he does get back to 100 percent, and hopefully it will be sooner in the season rather than later, he will have an impact. He's a good DT and we need all the help we can get there.
