Wife has family there so we will be relocating next month. I have a friend who has gotten us tickets for the Arkansas/Missouri game this year. Looking forward to a great game and getting to know our new surroundings. Thanks for the access.

Yep RE, I will miss playing LSU at the end of the yr as well. Always watched it a deer camp or on a deer stand. Hopefully this game with Mizzou will have the same feel.

Welcome to the area! I live in Blue Springs. The Kansas City Alumni chapter is pretty decent. They'll host a couple of watch parties at Power and Light, and the wife and I go whenever we can find a sitter.

Oh - and to the Missouri faithful - thanks for access to your board. As a visitor on your board, I appreciate your letting me participate.

Go Chiefs!

Got here last Sunday and secured a job. Wife's family took me downtown KC for dinner and sightseeing. Saw quite a bit Mizzou shirts as I had a Hog hat on, couple of crooked smiles my way, but a great downtown atmosphere.

I will have to check out the Power and Light parties this season.

They took me to Bo Lings and then walked to the Cheesecake Factory. I really recommend Bo Lings. I

I may hit up Gates BBQ after golf tomorrow.

What part of Independence you moving to? It's a pretty diverse area. I grew up in eastern Independence but have resided in Blue Springs for the last 20+ yrs. I'll be moving back home in the next few years to be closer to work.

Bo Lings is pretty good. La Fuentes on 23rd st. and 291hwy is pretty good Mexican food also. Tons of good BBQ joints across town. Just pick one and try it. Gates is good. Bryants is also good. Bass Pro has a pretty good seafood restaurant inside. V's restaurant on 40hwy in town is great Italian food. You will pass it on your way to Gates on 40hwy if that's the Gates you go to. Hamburgers? Hi Boy's on 291hwy, River and 24hwy, 40hwy and Blue Ridge. Killer onion rings. Hi Boy's is one of the last original drive in burger places left. Big Boy on 40hwy also not bad. There used to be a lot of them around. Five Guy's in Blue Springs or Lee's Summit is good. Gyro sandwiches? A little Greek hole in the wall on 40hwy is good can't remember the name of it though. You may have to eat it outside but man they are good. Pizza? Funhouse on yes again 40hwy is pretty good or used to be. Original in Blue Springs is also pretty good as is Waldo's in Lee's Summit. Waldo's is my favorite. St. Louis style pizza.

Welcome to Independence.
