I support the Tide Pride thing you mentioned. I think alumni deserve priority when it comes to season tickets no matter how much you donate.

Most of what you're saying has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not someone graduated from Alabama.

I have a master's degree and my and my wife's combined income is well into the six figures. I shop at Wal-marks all the time because it's cheaper and they usually have a good selection of the type items I walk into that store to purchase. I didn't realize a sales receipt made me a lesser fan.

Does anyone want to buy a home in South Florida? Apparently, I am now required to move into a trailer...

There's fans and alum. I'm alum so I don't fall into the fan category.

I do wish Alabama did a better job of distinguishing Alumni from just fans.

I'm not saying you have to be an alumni to be a fan, just wish Alabama promoted thier alumni better like some schools do.

I think its a total crock that anyone can join the Alumni Association.

My understanding I thought it had to be approved for non-alum to join the association. At least I thought that is what they said here in the Triangle area. The alum are growing in the area but the fans, especially the ones from the state of AL do a lot of support here for future UA students. They are having a huge send off in the near future.

But since everyone brings it up I believe another distinction needs to be made. I have noticed a major difference between alum from the state of AL vs. OOS alum. I have met far more true UA fans that are not alum and from the state than alum I have met from OOS.

Again I do not require a resume or for you to be vetted to sit next to me, drink a beer, and watch a game. Just ask rational and not insane and enjoy it. But some on here think to be a fan you have to have a piece of paper to certify your fan hood. Go figure.

What's bull shite is people can be from mars and join the Red elephant club, just as long as you have money. My grandpa is in it and some old douche from southern miss always tries to go along to all their local meet ups.

See I have no problem with this. Money is green whether it comes from alum or sidewalk fans. How else are we going to afford to pay current players, recruits, recruits' coaches, recruit's family's medical bills, housesitting jobs for players, recruits and current players' cars, SEC scheduling office, NCAA Compliance Dept, refs, Tuscaloosa Police Department, and ESPN?

Some people take being a football fan a little too seriously.

What happened? I haven't heard about any recent teabagging-type incidents.

I also have two degrees from the University...live in a nice subdivision with a large house. So I guess that means I am allowed to respond to you, oh king of the mountain.

As others have stated, you are a total douche. I have seen more class drip down a stripper's leg on bourbon street than you seem to have picked up in all of your time at the University. It is shameful the way you hold yourself above others for such petty reasons.

Hey, I'm happy. I have a great circle I stay within and it is very comfortable. Anyone who cares about what I think that much is probably a loser. If y'all think I'm a douche, then coolio. It's a message board thread where you sit behind a keyboard and just blow your opinion about random shite out of your arse. Big deal. I'll leave this here though.

If your life was so amazing, why would you need to validate it to a bunch of strangers on the interwebz? Oh, and nice preachy quote there at the end. Get over yourself.

Yes, I remember them. Went to high school with Pepper. They are a really nice family to be honest-the names were the only thing to me that seemed crazy. Pepper actually went to Georgia believe it or not.

And I don't think it's fair to lump them in with our sidewalk variety...even though doing so might give us a little break.
