I have been watching since the beginning of 97, granted I was pretty young then so it gets kind of hazy but for whatever reason the game that has gone down as the favorite I've ever seen of ours was 2001 @ Florida

Idk why it just is, not the national title game, not 98 vs Florida, nothing touches it for me.

I think it would be 98 vs Florida but I was such a young fan then my irrational hate hadn't quite developed as much plus we were HUGE underdogs in 01 and it was essentially a play in game for the natty title game, if it wasn't for that damn SECCG (there's probably a spin off thread there).

Anyways figured we could all sit back and circle jerk to our favorite games

right after hurricane katrina.. @ lsu... hostile environment "i was there and it was bad, fans were terrible" we were down 3 tds and put in our backup qb clausen who had transferred from lsu and he led us to a win in overtime! Best game i have been a part of, mainly because i live 2 hrs from baton rouge and have a hate for lsu.

Well that's certainly understandable considering everything around that game.

UF was a machine that year, they could have legit beaten miami and been the best team in America. Game got moved due to 9/11 obviously, so now you're playing in gainesville on a weird weekend with the nation watching. And yall ran all over them IIRC. If I was a UT fan that game would be up there for me too.

Mine too. First real game I attended in student section as an undergrad. UNLV doesn't count as a real game, although I loved the throwbacks we wore for it.

My favorite Baseketball game is tough 06 Texas when Lofton shot over Durant. That game was amazing. But the Kansas game was also awesome. I miss going to UT basketball games.

There are too many for me to pick just one...

The '85 team, alone, has a few...Sugar Bowl...and of course...Auburn, when they shut down Bo.

Miracle at South Bend.

2003 win at Bama in 5 OT.

Man...I'm hoping that ten years from now, we are posting about an awesome game from the '14 season.

Easily 2001 UF for me. I was too young in 1998 to truly appreciate what I was seeing. By 2001, I had a special kind of hatred for Florida, Spurrier and The Swamp, where we could never win a game at. We were like 30 point underdogs in that game iirc and hadn't won in the Swamp since like 1970 or something.

Last week of the season and you've got the two powerhouses of the SEC squaring off in a (should've been) de facto semifinal for the BCSNC. Watching Travis Stephens gash that UF defense time and time again was one of the greatest performances in UT football history.

It's amazing how we were seemingly on top of the world that night and just one week later the decline of Tennessee football began.

Damn, I miss those days

Your post pretty much sums up my emotions on it, except I don't completely agree about the beginning of the decline part but that's another depressing discussion and isn't a big deal

1998 vs UF. It was my very first game to attend. Our seating was right behind the goal post and we rushed the field right away.
