according to someone "familiar with the negotiations."

I sure as hell hope so. Switching to U-Verse would require having a South Carolina graduate rooting around in my crawlspace, stringing wires and whatnot.

That would be great news to me. Thanks for the update.

You should care. With this deal signed every SEC program will make more than any B1G program.

I thought it could take up to 30 days to change media providers. The provider I was switching to said I would be setup in less than a week and one of my employees said that he already switched and it took less than a week to switch to Dish.
So I called TWC yesterday to cancel. I got escalated twice to some Cancellation Supervisor, and I simply explained I was leaving b/c they didn't have a deal with the SEC Network. She assured me that it was in the works and to just be patient. I explained I had a deal worked out with Dish that was time sensitive (that they probably run every month, lol) and I had made my decision.
She then offered me a $100 credit to wait for the announcement, which she was sure would come in the next couple of weeks. Since it only takes a week to switch, I'm now going to wait until Aug 1 to switch if the deal isn't announced.
I wanted to share this so others can try to get a $100 credit from TWC as well.

Thanks for the tip. Maybe my wife will let me invest that $100 in beer.

$100 credit means they take off $10 a month.
