We all know about the traditional Big 6, but in addition to that, every time some countdown or ranking is posted, someone quotes the top X and says
It's always fun, but I think from time to time, in the heat and emotions of sports rivalries, we forget about the most important thing: player safety. I am thankful that Saban is not alone in his concern for the players' longterm wellbeing. Bert has also taken on the mantle of player safety advocate. It's good to know that at least some teams put more important things above W's.
This post is to dedicated to the most important Big X: The Big 2 of player safety. In a society characterized by selfishness and prioritizing winning over all, these two (alone) are bold enough to stand up for what's right
