I don't know alot about the chiefs, but I do know Murray is a boss.

How will he fit with the new team? How do the mizzou fans feel about it?

I'm not really an NFL fan, I'm a casual Falcons fan, but during football season, being a grown up with a wife means I can pick one day to watch football each week, and being southern, than means it's Saturday.

I don't know all the ins and outs of the Chiefs. Will Murray prosper there?

Good fit for him. If it worked out for Alex Smith to do so well there, think Murray will be just fine.

Think Murray fits that mold, and may be on Smith's level if not possibly better.

Game Manager rather having to be superstar player and take everything on his shoulders

Our former QB Chase Daniel went there, the one we all still have a huge boner for. Starting QB never goes down in that place apparently since in a few years we never got to see our dude get a chance.

Just watched his highlight tape...looks like he can throw the long ball. It's not really the Chiefs style, but it would be a welcome change from our dink-and-dunk offense. Murray will probably be 3rd string for at least 2 years until Daniel's contract expires. If Smith goes, he could get a look as our potential starter in 2016. I know Murray's arm strength has been questioned, but as long as he can stretch the field I like the pick. I would've preferred us taking E.J. Gaines with that pick, but Murray was still a good pick. He will probably take Tyler Bray's roster spot this season. Looks to be pretty mobile too.

Glad they picked him up. Great team with a lot of talent from the SEC.

He came to the right team, he just needs to be patient. HC Reid is known as a QB guru, and the type of system he runs will be able to highlight Murrays skills and talents.

Andy Reid has liked Murray for a while, and I firmly believe he was drafted to be our QBOTF. Alex Smith will sign an extension, and Murray will progress up the depth chart. Murray will eventually be the 2nd string QB behind Smith, getting groomed to eventually take over.

I am pumped over this pick as I have liked Murray for quite a while. Personally, it was my favorite pick the Chiefs made. They finally drafted a legitimate QBOTF.

I love the pick but wouldn't call it the QB of the Future. Let's be real. We didn't draft him thinking we found Tom Brady. We found a very good college QB who has the smarts to be a competent backup. He'll most likely be third string this year and compete with Chase for second string next year.

Don't get me wrong I love the pick. But I think Alex Smith is our franchise QB. Chase Daniel has the brain and has learned the NFL offenses well enough to be a valued backup. Murray has a long way to go to top Chase let alone be a franchise qb.

I guess time will tell if he is the QOTF. I tend to be on the optimistic side of this. He has the intangibles to be a fine starting NFL QB. His size and injury held him back from being mentioned as one of the top QBs' in this years draft.

His size doesn't really bother me, as Drew Brees and Russel Wilson has shown height isn't always a good indicator. I see Murray eventually settling into the number 2 slot, not because I don't like Chase (Im a Mizzou fan afterall) but because of his salary. Murray will get his chance to be the starter.

You can think of Murray as a backup QB all you want, but I see more. I see a very smart QB that can make NFL throws, tough as nails, and has the strength and will power to be successful. You are cutting the kid short (no pun intended) and feel we have a true gem on our hands.

Murray is going to be a career back-up in my opinion.

I like the pick but don't know how or where he will fit in. I think his talents fit in well with the Chiefs scheme, but he has another QB in Tyler Bray that is a project for the Chiefs and looked pretty good at the end of pre-season ball last year. So I'm not sure where Murray will fit in unless he comes in and turns things upside down. I really don't see that happening. It will be interesting for sure. The GM said they took him because he was the best player on the board at the time of their pick. I hope there is more to it than that. I think it all depends on Bray's maturing mentally. If he doesn't, I could see Murray sliding by him on the depth chart at some point. But Bray will be a hard one to get by just from a physical play standpoint. He's huge and talented, just gotta get the offense down and mature.

I like Murray, but I like Bray also. This might be the future of QB for the Chiefs and I'm just fine with that.

Watched plenty of Murray's games, he's a good QB but like many he can fall apart from pressure, on a good team he could do well on a poor one he could flounder. He's not the guy that can take a questionable offense and turn them into world beaters, but in this years mostly average looking QB class he has as good a shot as about anyone.

Like Murray. I was hoping the Rams would pick him. Coming off knee surgery, would have gone a couple rounds higher.

Murray has been thrown around like a rag doll and beaten to shite during his career at UGA. The OL has been average at best. He still owns every SEC passing record.

I think you give him a reasonable amount of protection and some competent hands down field, and he's as dangerous as any quarterback in the NFL right now.

A popular myth about Murray is that he isn't mobile. He actually is very mobile, even instinctually.

His first year starting at UGA, he ran all the time. After a few big hits, the coaches put the Kaibash on him running. It took a while to break him of the habit, his first few slides in his sophomore year were really awkward and forced, his instinct is to hit.

He is tough, he is mobile. He's not Cam or JFF, but he can truck it when he needs to.

I am biased, but I've also watched every game he's ever played.

Unfortunately the "competent hands down field" isn't one of the Chiefs' strengths.
