Why to pull for the SEC in the tourney.

The SEC in basketball is obviously not like the SEC in baseball or the SEC in football. As much as it leaves a sour taste to root for Florida and Kentucky and the rest of the "post season" teams, I think the SEC needs the credit it deserves. LSU almost made the tourney but didn't because of the conference we play in. I know UF and UK are essentially Elite programs but Tennessee was not better than the whole of the SEC. How could they deserve to make it and not the first half?

I root for Florida only in this tournament. Kentucky can suck one. Love the chemistry, players, and coach on Florida's team. Kentucky....not so much.

Yeah I think we should have been given a little consideration considering we tied UK for second.
Not saying we were tourney worthy, but we should have at least been mentioned on the bubble.

Meh, it didn't hurt my feelings to not be invited to the dance. But it would be cool if Florida would just drop off the earth.
I keep trying to remember/find the quote that perfectly sums up this situation, something like "I wouldn't pull for Florida if they had one engine out on the team plane."

Pretty much where I'm at on things. Also, bandwagon UK fans crawl out of every hole possible. At least most of them have shed their UA gear due to how football season ended.

I see what your saying, but I'm rooting for Wisconsin, since they Haven't won it.
Also, LSU didn't make cuz of the conference. The were left out because they weren't good enough.

At LSU's best we were tourney worthy. The bad losses and conference kept us out.

Being in the ACC or Big 10 wouldn't of put LSU in the tourney. We finished in the middle of a poor conference. We would of been near the bottom of an elite basketball conference. I'll even say LSU would if had an even worse conference record playing in the A10.
