I had my iPad2 done and just so you know I ended up buying an otter box for it (which I used maybe a month bc I hate them) to keep it secure. The whole thing between screen and otter cost me over 200 bucks. This was in the other ville (Russell) tho not the good ville.
If it's only a screen crack then it's probably no big deal but if there are any dents at all the screen will never be perfectly flat. Over time mine got weakened I guess and you can see where the screen is raised up on the edges now plus it's cracked again. So, I will never replace one again, I'm just biding my time til this one actually stops working and then I'm getting an iPad air.

Hmmm, how long ago was this?

Good question- probably at least a year ago maybe a year and a half. I am hell on iPhones and iPads both. I bet I've had at least 4 screens replaced over the years.

We used to do those repairs here in the bad-ville but stopped because of the same reason you just described. Its expensive and the replacements rarely fit right, either because they are crappy generic replacements or the chassis has been warped too badly.
Recommendation: after you drop your next one and get its screen replaced, sell it "like new" and buy an actual new one. You'll save money in the long run.

Service plus is where I had it done- I don't blame them at all. In fact, they've done a lot for us at my work and I would recommend them for computer repairs etc. Plus, they warned me that the screen could do this but I couldn't justify at the time buying a new one because of a screen but I've learned my lesson now. and Russ Vegas isn't so bad.

Phone Doctors in fiesta square. Try and buy the screen and whatever else you need replaced, off of amazon beforehand. You'll save a lot that way
