247 reporting Sharpe went into the basketball locker room following the win over FSU tonight.

247 reporting Ermon Lane went to watch Justus Reed tonight. Rocking a Gator hat.

Scout reporting Will Grier has been in G'Ville since Monday, has been recruiting for us.

Highly rated DT Thomas Holley is on his OV to UF this weekend, for those that aren't aware.

247 and Scout both reporting that UF is looking really good for DE Lorenzo Featherstone.

Grier's twitter feed is awesome. His talking up UF is heartening, and I love how positive his attitude is. I think that kid is going to do work here.

Can't rain all the time. There is definitely some stuff to look forward too.

Grier is awesome and his personality is infectious. We haven't had a leader like him since Tebow at the QB position.

Hell, I wonder if we can get him an independent study class where he recruits with the staff until signing day since he is here in January.

This stuff is gold:

I'm getting excited, actually. Sounds like more than an just and athlete but the leader we need as well.

The team has talent. I saw a lot of hopeful things today in the Swamp. We just need an OL, a QB, and someone to lead.

...and a new OC on OLC.

Its Cornelius Washington, a 5'6 170 lb athelete from McIntosh, very shifty and agile....needs to go through weight training though

Folks....will repeat this mantra: as dark and gloomy as it seems now...its very easy to go fast forward and be surprised by the turnaround. I am very impressed by Muschamp and if anyone who KNOWS the roster and understands what we have been through cares to debate his merits...bring it.

One of our problems on offense is traced to Muschamp in my opinion...that's his first year recruiting and definitely going after defensive players as a priority...which I understand because he inherited a soft team and defense is always the first thing to change....getting rid of deadwood, malcontents and the like...mission accomplished.
We have adjusted our recruiting and last years haul reflects that...Fulwood could be a star in the making with more snaps. Just remember that snaps in game experience is the best teacher..all you have to do is look across the field & look at Kelvin Benjamin and see how good he has gotten with experience...look at his first year on the field for a comparison.
We have Grier, Ermon, Cook, most likely Sharp etc etc as offensive firepower. Any high school players watching the game had to be impressed by the turnout of Gator fans in face of what was going to be a loss and possibly a blowout. They also know they will have chance for immediate playing time. UF will always have appeal and the W/L record isn't as much of a factor as you might think. We have several highly rated recruits ready to pull the trigger.
Next year we will have Driskel back and folks seem to forget 297 yds passing he had against SCUM. Don't sell him short. We now have two back up qbs and a whole lotta depth at more positions because of the injuries. The future is bright.

Funny story from GSU. I worked the sideline that day as a photog (which I know nothing about. I really just hauled gear for a friend who is actually a photog. He's the guy that took the infamous "eye gouge" pics).

In the photog pit, they have cards with the roster so photo-journalist can post real-time to Twitter, blogs, and so on. When we ended up with the walk-on LB, there was a scramble as he wasn't even listed on the 101 person roster provided at for us at the beginning of the game. It really brought home just how far into the depth charts we actually were -- of them.

At that point we were down 7 LBs who were on scholly. NO TEAM can overcome that and you wonder why GSU ran all over us? A walk on and a true frosh inserted and the only healthy player was Neiron Ball at LB. Muschamp didn't forget how to coach and to use the defensive letdown from that game just shows ignorance. We got Kitchens back for yesterday and he still has bad shoulder...he is a credit to our program. Jon Bullard played and tried to put in as many minutes as he could. Leon Orr and Damien Jacobs both played tough and Jacobs played at least 80% of the defensive snaps if not more...I tried my best to focus on defense and see what was going on. Brian Poole played his butt off and he will be a force next year. Dante Fowler played a lot of snaps and ran sideline to sideline chasing Winston...I watched it closely.
Our defense just didn't have the depth to stay with them and we worn down...but give credit to these guys, they didn't fold their tents.

I know the roster pretty well. I knew it was a bad sign when we were down to a true freshmen and someone I never heard of.
