Academics are their go to talking point. I actually wonder how many went to UM.
I was working on a project this summer and was chatting with the project manager. I find out he's a UM guy and the conversation turns to football and eventually recruiting. As soon as he finds out I'm an Alabama guy, he brings up academics.

Yeah I took the 101 class, but one of the things my professor (a Barner of course) told us was it wasn't a degree at that time, only a minor, and they were working on getting the major back. This was in 2008, so maybe it is back?

Now we are not only taking their jobs (car manufacturing) but we are also taking their recruits.
I have observed through all of my business travel throughout the U.S. that there are 2 States people move away from the most. NEW JERSEY and MICHIGAN. I meet so many people who have moved away from these two states than anywhere else in the country.
I love it how people from these two States act like they are so much better than us. Since they pay much higher property taxes and freeze their arse off most of the year that we are "Jethros," and are below them....

I took 101, 202, and 301 at UA because I am in Social Studies Education.
