Nothing is going to happen to Alabama, not in the short run anyway, if ever. It has taken the NCAA over two years to unravel the Miami mess. This may take decades.

I invoke the Reggie Bush Rule!

Illegally compensated player = vacated championships and sanctions.

Exactly.

But . . . all of the recent crappy Ranters though will jump in.

Most are awful posters - trying to see how they can out-clever each other.

Everyone knows nothing is going to happen. People just love trying to be funny.

For the record, I'm the only one that actually is funny around here. Well, me and that black guy in his heliocopter.

Seriously, this could get bad for Bama. I never thought anything would happen to USC but it did and it did take forever. The NCAA has some past precedent here that if not followed will get howles of unfairness from those punished in the past.

The stuff airing now about Miles led Ok State is pure mud slinging. There is nothing that falls within the statute of limitations (4 yrs) for him but he could sustain serious personal damage.

Scam Newton was let off the hook by the NCAA because the improprieties were by his father and not him. Apparently they judged the program and the athlete had no control of the dad.

This issue however involves a recent player and a major starter on a Championship team. There is an apparent direct money trail from agents to the liason to the players. After the USC punishment and the Penn State penalties you can expect major fan bases to be screaming bloody murder. JMHO

The difference is that USC had a coach on staff that knew about the Reggie Bush thing and chose to do nothing to stop it or report it. There has been no indication that anyone involved with the program knew anything about this. Will we receive some sort of sanction? Maybe, but who really knows.

This hasn't even started to play out yet. Be patient.
