According to this article it would have been Bama...

But in an interview with the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the 6-foot-3, 310-pound star said if not for a last-second decision to visit Auburn days before Signing Day, he likely would have signed with Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

quote:

"A lot of people didn't know, but I was about to go to Alabama," Adams told the AJC. "It's just when I went back to Auburn for my last official, that's when I made up my mind about that it was where I wanted to be. But if I hadn't gone on that last official visit, I would probably be with Alabama right now."

But I found this to be most interesting:

quote:

Adams said that the hiring of Rodney Garner was likely what made the difference for Auburn and that had Garner remained at Georgia, Adams almost certainly would have signed with the Tide.

What is pushing these kids away from UGA? Even with the great relationship he has with RG, UGA was no better than third on his list...

According to my UGA buddies it was all Garners fault for losing these instate recruits

Yeah, I remember there being heavy rumors of him supposedly signing with Alabama before he visited Auburn that last week. Before that, it was pretty much a toss-up between Clemson, Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia. It kind of reminded me of Gabe Wright's recruitment, except switch out Clemson with Tennessee.

I've always believed we could compete recruiting wise with Bama, now we just need to compete coaching wise.
