Watching the game on that bunk ESPN3 feed, I missed that Perez got hurt. We are so thin there already, I say sit him Saturday. If we cannot beat State and already lost to USCe...we do not deserve any post season

From CL Blog...

OXFORD — Forward Anthony Perez is day-to-day after suffering a knee injury during Wednesday’s 82-73 win against Texas A&M.

The freshman has a grade one sprained MCL, coach Andy Kennedy said. Ole Miss next plays on Saturday at Mississippi State

Perez went down in a heap after going for a rebound during the second half of Wednesday’s game. Doctors examined him on the court and helped him off; Perez did not put any weight on his leg as he went to the locker room.

Ole Miss has already lost two forwards to season-ending injuries: Demarco Cox (foot) and Aaron Jones (ACL). That has left Kennedy with Perez and fellow freshman Terry Brutus as his only frontcourt reserves.

For the season Perez is averaging two points and 1.6 rebounds in 7.2 minutes a night. He had five points in six minutes at the time of his injury Wednesday, but had been held scoreless the last four games.

If Perez is unable to play against the Bulldogs, Kennedy said he would likely rely more on Brutus and also be forced to use a four-guard lineup.

Jesus. It looked bad on tv. At least he's day to day and not out for the season or anything. Hope he gets better we definitely need him

I think I'm actually okay with this. Obviously, I'd rather have APC in the lineup, but it appears that the minutes we've been getting from Brutus have been steadily increasing in quality and effectiveness. It would be badass if he would go the frick off on Schtate this weekend.
