What a nightmare. Kudos to Auburn's defense, but how stupid could Hallman and Amadee have been to have kept throwing over the middle, especially the last one when AU had just used its last time out with a little over a minute left ?

I always thought that was Archer not Hallman. Craziest game ever.

Of all things I got headed out right by Toomer's Corner after the game. People were running in the street in front of me and saying what you can imagine and laughing. But,I was in my GMC Sierra at the time, long wheel base, big engine. Revved that baby up a couple of times at the light and those clowns ran to the trees.

I would take the 94' defense today..almost 20 years later, Literally, as they are now, 20 years older and would feel better about saturday.

I remember walking out of the stadium and LSU fans were PISSED. I mean some of you guys were looking for someone to punch. Can't say I can fault that either.

Then you'll get a kick out of this story. About two or three weeks later during LSU's open date week Hallman was the speaker at the Birmingham Quarterback Club. This was right after Alabama had beaten Tennessee in Knoxville and Auburn had upset #1 Florida in Gainesville and both Ala and Aub were top 5 or so,so the place was packed and folks were whooping it up.

If you remember, late in the Florida game, the Gators were up 33-29 and Terry Dean threw a pass that was intercepted by Auburn giving them one last chance. So, a Birmingham sportscaster had put togethor a video with Alabama and Auburn highlights that he narrarated(that guy was not in attendance).

Remember, Hallman is sitting right in the front at the dais.So they get to the part when Dean takes the snap and is about to throw the pick to Auburn."NOW ITS TIME FOR THE CURLEY HALLMAN BONEHEAD PLAY OF THE GAME !" The place just broke up with people laughing their heads off while poor ol' Curley just sat up front looking like someone had walked in on him sitting on the can.

Yep. I was at that game as well. If I remember correctly, that pick was on a 3rd and long. UF could have run, taken more time off the clock and pinned up pretty deep. I believe UF was on about their own 35 yard line. Instead, that pick was returned about 30 yards in the other direction and set us up at about the UF 40. Pass to the TE (the gator play) and couple more gains and then Sanders in the end zone.

Spurrier took quite a bit of heat from that call after the game.

I was at that game. We really looked like warmed over shite that day on offense and defense was poor for the better part of 3 quarters. I had actually mostly quit paying much attention to the game and was focused on your majorettes dancing (I remember the way they moved reminded me of high end titty dancers more than college majorettes ). Next thing I knew, that 4th quarter happened. I walked away from Jordan Hare knowing I'd got to witness something special.

I was a junior watching the game with my future wife and some good college friends. Good times. Good times.

I was at the game. The offense was a shite show all day. I remember Craig replacing Nix at some point in the game.

Just watched the video. Forgot how excruciating that loss was. Pounding them into pepperoni this Saturday will make me feel better.
