To prevent this rematch mess in the future...

I think the sec should impose a rule that if two teams are in the top 2 of the bcs going into the conference championship week, those two team play in the sec champ game regaurdless of division. This would IMO help protect the importance of conference championships and would make for a hell of a sec champ game this year. I know the sec wants both teams in the mnc, but I think having national championship conference rematches kill the improtance of the sec championship gm.

Disagree...what if a third team from the SEC (maybe even from the East) is at 3 or 4 in the BCS that same year? The SECCG could have been their chance to propel themselves higher, and at minimum, to compete for the conference crown.

The SEC should break away from the NCAA and create it's own College Football League

Common sense and logic have no place on this forum sir. GOOD DAY.

Why? I will again respond to you Conference championships in playoff formats only give a homefield advantage. Wildcard teams beat conference champions all the time and they could have lost more then once to the conference champion during the regular season.
Note to conference champ DON'T LOSE THE REMATCH!!!

So and Alabama/LSU rematch in the SECCG is OK but an Alabama/LSU rematch in the BCSCG isn't?

Geez guys. Its just a random thought. Not like I am the commish. What wrong with the thought other than bama wouldn't walk into the mnc this season without playing lsu again?

Honestly I don't give a frick anymore whatever gets us closer to a playoff system is fine by me. Sure we got screwed out of the chance to play for the BCSCG in 2007 but frick it

Exactly it is contradicting since the East team won its conference. His argument has no credibility at all.

Don't start a thread open for response to your idea if it's going to hurt your feelings. Just saying.

Maybe I'm not being clear. I don't have an issue with a rematch. I only have a problem with a 12-0 lsu team playing a meaningless sec champ game so they can play a conference rematch in the mnc. I would just rather keep the championship games meaningful

It isn't meaningless at all because winning they are guaranteed a spot in the NC, if they lose they just may be playing in a BCS bowl.
Bama must overcome voter bias, and must win big as they don't control their destiny. LSU has earned the right to control what happens from here on out if they just keep winning.

Funny I was thinking the same thing of you as I was responding to your last nonsense of a post.

money talks. BCS will pay the conference double the money if 2 teams from SEC are in it

No.
LSU shouldn't have to beat Alabama twice to win the SEC championship.
And plus, if Alabama beat LSU in Atlanta, everyone would want a rubber match in New Orleans still.
